So, this is how I got here
Good ole Central Illinois
In 1976 (let’s not do the math) in Kosciusko, Mississippi, my mother gave birth to her 4th child….me! Apparently she had watched an after school special (programming you wouldn’t know about unless you were born in the 70s & 80s) titled: Sunshine. It was based on a true story and the soundtrack included John Denver’s: Sunshine on My Shoulders. I’m not sure where she got the Ray. So, besides myself, Oprah Winfrey was also born there! As a matter of fact, she has a street named after her! After I become famous (for whatever it is I’ll be famous for) I’ll have a street named after me! Sunshine Ray Boulevard!
Shortly after I was born my mom moved back to Central Illinois
Although I am convinced my life story would be a best seller, I’ll keep things short and sweet! I grew up in Decatur, Illinois. Gave birth to 2 boys and 2 girls. In 2001 the kids and I moved to Springfield, Illinois. In 2005 I graduated from nursing school and, in 2013 My youngest daughter facilitated a reunion of sorts with her father and I. So we moved back to Decatur and On February 26th, 2016 the girls’ dad and I got married! Which means together there are 6 kids! He has 2, I have 2 and we have 2 together! As it turns out, once life calms down you start reflecting on life. Then you turn 40 and you realize, it is true, life is short and you should make the most of it! So, I thought what better way to process life and help others if I can then to share my experiences in a blog!
